My main props are hula hoops, silk fans, and russian grip fans! I am working on buugeng, dragon staff, poi, and giant dragon poi. I choreograph all of my numbers, and do my best to never use the same performance in a show. I also spin fire!
I love that I sometimes run into people I’ve followed online for YEARS. At Tipper and Friends 2025 I ran into three of them! It was so fun to see the person outside of the very serious online space. As an artist I also love the flow arts aesthetic; the colors, the outfits, the showmanship of it all amazes me. I’m definitely a performer. I do my best to help others if they have a question, but I’m not super great with all the terminology in flow arts. I hope I can influence people to be themselves, and offer their own unique gifts to the community.
I began my flow arts journey in early 2018. I saw a girl hula hooping with a pretty LED hoop at a show, and I remember thinking “I want to do that!”. It started out as a fun way to distract myself from art school, which was much more difficult than one would think, then turned into my greatest passion.
What advice would you give to someone just starting their flow journey? Which tutorials or guiding principles helped you along the way?

My advice to a newbie will always be to remember this: At the end of the day, we are all playing with toys and using our bodies in a positive way. There is no pressure to be perfect or know everything! Each flow artist has something special and new to bring to the table. Each flow artist is just as important as the other! The most I have ever learned is from other people. Go to flow meetups and ask for help!
Do you have any flow related personal successes that you’d like to share?

I have been performing flow arts for 7 years. Meaning I had only 6 months before this passion of mine turned into my job. There have been a few times where I was unemployed and flow arts paid my bills. I am forever grateful that I have gained so much experience.
Flow arts has completely taken over my life. I remember my first gig like it was yesterday. I was hooping at a festival for fun, and this man walks up to me and offers me a job! That man ended up being Paul Miller, a former clown with the Ringling Brothers. I worked with Paul for 7 years, during that time I got to do so many other shows and gigs with all different communities of people outside of circus and flow arts. It was so beautiful to bring my favorite thing in the world to people who had never seen it.
Are you a part of a flow community or flow meet-up? Are there any local flow gatherings near you?

I used to do a lot of meet ups in Cincinnati! The community there is so welcoming and helpful. I’ve learned so many things from them. I have moved to North Carolina since then, and have finally found a group of people to join!
Are you one of the community members that helps to organize any of these events? Do you want to share details of how you take a leading or participatory role?

I’ve organized only one event. I am unfortunately VERY shy off the stage, but as soon as someone comes up to me I always want to say hi and flow with them. All I ever want is for everyone to be happy and feel included.
What does 2025/2026 have in store for you? At which festivals/events/retreats can you be found at? Will you be performing, attending, or teaching?

For the rest of 2025 I am serving in a restaurant on The Biltmore Estate (which I am so proud of, and have always wanted to work there). I’m hoping to be able to take some time to create some really amazing content in front of the house and in the gardens. As far as 2026 goes, I will be moving again. I found a performance collective to join and practice with. I've been working on my resume, website, and social media. Hopefully you’ll see me on some festival stages this year!
