FutureStaff Remote XL

The compact 7-key remote is programmed with several handy features. You can use the remote to access saved patterns, synchronize multiple props, quickly switch between modes, and alter your brightness. Even if you don’t have your remote control on you, you still navigate between Modes. Changing to the next Mode is as easy as turning the lights off and then on again.

By turning the power off and then on again (or using the remote) you can cycle through modes in the following order. Within each mode the patterns will automatically advance every 6 seconds.

• Motif – Inspired by traditional art motifs with a splash of 8-bit iconography. Dynamic colors and effects layer to create endless variations and unbelievable trails.
• Waveform – Geometric waveforms produce mind-bending patterns that look great in orbitals and tight spins. Consumes very little power so your battery lasts longer.
• Motif Chaining – Stitches Motifs and Waveforms together into a repeating chain to produce endlessly fresh visualizations.
• Galaxy – A smooth rainbow ripple to allow for mellow moods and flow-focused routines. Hypnotic and calming whether still or in motion.
• Saved Presets – When you save your favorite patterns from Motif and Waveform modes they get stored here.
• Sync – Display the same patterns, colors, and changes in sync. Plays back the same sequence each time. Note that the current generation of FuturePoi/FutureStaff syncs by default, but you can use this mode for sync-compatibility with older generations.
• Flames – (XL only) A flame pattern that captures the essence of fire spinning.

Charging: Rechargeable via micro USB connection. Each order includes a USB charger and 2 cables for charging both lights simultaneously.

Easily disconnect the lights for transport, to switch between staff attachments of different lengths, or to swap out the staff to attach Poi Leashes. Black silicone tape keeps the staff gripped to your hand.

The staff attachment is built from durable 1 inch OD polycarbonate tubing with a reinforced wood core for strength, balance, and reliable handling. The modular ends connect seamlessly with any of the FuturePoi/FutureStaff Models.

The FutureStaff is built for bo staff style flow. The lightweight polycarbonate tubing and reinforced core create a responsive, balanced feel that supports fast spins, smooth transitions, and clean plane control. It balances being lightweight with rigidity, giving the stability needed for sharp directional changes and precise tech movement.

The FutureStaff comes standard with 1 of 3 length options made from a single piece. The center point is marked by a small section of the white tubing left exposed.

Collapsible Staff Attachment

This upgradable option allows you to switch to other staff lengths easily, as well as brings the ultimate convenience for transporting your staff. Each detachable segment is approximately 8.5″ long and includes the same solid wood core as the single-piece staff attachment. There is no center marking point on this staff attachment type.

Fun fact: FuturePoi and FutureStaff use identical lights. You can easily disconnect the FutureStaff lights from the staff attachment and use poi leashes instead.
